The high Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Northern New Mexico surround the headwaters of the Pecos River to the Pecos Wilderness at 7,000 feet in the Santa Fe National Forest. These are fully furnished accommodations. Take a long hike, do some rock climbing, horseback riding, biking, fish for fresh mountain trout, or simply curl up with a good book. The Pecos Canyon is only 45 minutes from downtown Santa Fe's Historic Plaza and ends in the Pecos Wilderness, over 220,000 acres of hiking trails, high mountain lakes and beautiful scenery.
